Re: Dry fast and workout

Yes it's safe to say you never gain muscle on a fast. What you are seeing is increased definition of muscle. Now if you argue that you barely lose mucle, then quickly regain muscle after the fast from better nutrient partitioning, we have a case lol. Even a 3 day dry fast according to russian ...

Re: Dry fast and workout

No, I used to believe that weight training during dry fasting made sense to speed up dehydration, but over the years I've realized that the body has perfected the slow dehydration of a dry fast (with no extra exercise), and that exercising and causing sweat and exertion during a dry fast only means ...

Re: Can dryfasting permanently reverse severe mental illnesses?

Re: Combine Ray Peat diet with IF ?

I wish I never did it for 15 years, but it was my way of self-medicating without understanding bioenergetics.

I remember your article criticizing IF, but its almost completely inconsistent with what Ive been observing for a long time.

Re: Can dryfasting permanently reverse severe mental illnesses?

Well, after 4 days of gradually replacing fat with carbohydrates and introducing fruits, everything seems to be going quite well. I had some panic one night and a feeling of static objects moving, but it didnt happen again and I dont see any prerequisites.
To be honest, it seems to me that a ...

Re: Can dryfasting permanently reverse severe mental illnesses?

In my experience, this is indeed the case, i think.
Thoughts do slow down, so it's easier for you to control them.

Re: Lyme disease with irregular heartbeat and dry fasting

Hi Junie, with severe Lyme it can be so difficult, i'm pretty sure you classify as level 10 (max) Lyme from your previous comment. Sometimes this means you need to do a Michelle Slater and go for the 9 day fasts with Filonov in Russia. Have you tried experimenting with only T3 dosing? I saw a Lyme ...

Re: Combine Ray Peat diet with IF ?

The improvements in thermoregulation and calm alertness that you reported are interesting, indicating that your body didn't lose most of its ability to use the carbs yet. Many long-term keto dieters have a very horrible time bringing back carbs initially. Yes, Ray Peat discouraged fasting, and I ...

Re: Can dryfasting permanently reverse severe mental illnesses?

Was just quickly scanning here and noticed I forgot to mention an important point about the mental illness and dry fasting not being enough. I have to explain why carnivore/keto/fasting can help improve the symptoms so much. It clears a lot of possible blockages and pathogens, but if energy ...

Re: Creatine Scorch protocole and dry fast

Nothing huge, but insane amounts of creatine could affect kidney clearance once dehydration hits. Also the more hydrated you are the longer it takes for the dehydration effects to kick in, so it could be a few extra hours before you enter deep ketosis and good stable glucose levels.
