Lyme disease with irregular heartbeat and dry fasting

Post by Zojo42 »

Hello

My husband has had Lyme for 17+ years. He wasn’t treated for 15 years because he didn’t know what was wrong with him. He has since been on combination antibiotics for 14 months. He then took a herbal protocol for 6 months. Although slightly better, his symptoms are still there and he wants to try dry fasting. The problem is that he has been diagnosed with a mild heart block that doesn’t require treatment. I was unsure if it’s ok for him to dry fasting as I read in Dr Filinov’s book that “disorders of the heart rhythm and/or of the pulse propagation of any origin” are contraindicated. Do you think dry fasting would be helpful for him? I understand that your response isn’t, and won’t be taken as medical advice.

Figured I would mention Maurice Daher's youtube channel for more methods to heal heart health with nutrition, and maybe kambo frog medicine for Lyme and autoimmune issues.

This has to do with Lyme carditis? Has he followed up on the heart block to see if it has improved? You are right in being unsure as dry fasting lowers blood volume but also increases heart rate / pressure as it has to pump harder and also secretes extremely high levels of cortisol. I've worked with a lot of people with long covid type symptoms that include heart issues/pain (although the heart is almost always clear on any MRI's, ECGs, or ultrasounds). The beautiful thing is that the dry fasts are usually able to clear the heart pain, indicating that it is most likely some sort of neural/nervous disorder. But when it is a structural issue, I would recommend to try and tackle the heart block before considering long dry fasts.

Please figure out if it's a form of idiopathic fibrosis and sclerosis, or calcium. If it's calcium I would recommend going on a type of ketovore diet until the calcium blockages are cleared. That would be a perfect segue into dry fasting, followed by a completely opposite diet of regeneration (high carb, low fat) for the refeeding months.

Hi Titan, I have Lyme and even more active RMSF (Lyme but meaner :D), and related cardiac things, but have not had an attack. I also have tons of complex med conditions people usually have with these conditins. I had no POTS flares or BP issues on my fast, though since I didn't undersatnd the mechanics of d2 I did stop at 45hrs, which I would not do again since I understand cortisol is Supposed to be doing that then! But even w 2d then moving onto 5d F to come down, I had no cardiac issues. My BP reduced to levels it was when I was healthy, which was nice. I'm maintaining that after refeed so far a week in. Hope you find what you need. I know ticks are tricky.

Hi Junie, with severe Lyme it can be so difficult, i'm pretty sure you classify as level 10 (max) Lyme from your previous comment. Sometimes this means you need to do a Michelle Slater and go for the 9 day fasts with Filonov in Russia. Have you tried experimenting with only T3 dosing? I saw a Lyme patient who swore 60mcg of T3 was her turning point. And even Todd Maderis talks about how most of his lyme patients have impaired t4->t3 conversion, also supporting this. It might give you a quick win, but you'll still need to deal with the underlying issue because it seems like your immune system cant keep up with the Lyme. Sometimes there's a link to keto/low carb and deteriorating lyme symptoms too and that's a huge metabolism/bioenergetics clue.
