Rules for Posting Questions

Post by Yannick »

To keep discussions productive and help members diagnose issues effectively, follow these guidelines when posting questions. The goal is to provide enough context for accurate advice—vague posts get vague responses!
  • Be Descriptive and Detailed: Clearly explain your situation. Include specifics like: How long have you been dry fasting (e.g., hours/days)? What's your experience level (beginner, intermediate, expert)? Describe symptoms precisely (e.g., "dry mouth after 24 hours" vs. "feeling weird").
  • Include Health Background: Share relevant medical history to spot red flags—e.g., pre-existing conditions (diabetes, heart issues), medications, age, gender, weight/height, and recent diet/exercise changes. This helps rule out non-fasting causes.
  • Timeline of Events: Outline what led up to the problem chronologically—e.g., "Started 36-hour dry fast on Monday after eating normally Sunday; felt fine until Wednesday morning when dizziness hit." This pinpoints triggers.
  • What You've Tried: List steps you've already taken and their results—e.g., "Drank electrolytes post-fast but nausea persists; rested but no improvement." Avoids redundant advice.
  • Photos or Metrics (If Relevant): For visible issues (e.g., skin changes) or trackable data (e.g., heart rate logs from a wearable), attach anonymized images or charts. Use spoiler tags for privacy.
  • One Question Per Post: Focus on a single main issue to keep threads clean—e.g., separate "hydration refeed tips" from "migraine during fast."
