5 days dry fast max?

Post by Marius1793 »

I see that you say one should not exceed 5 days of dry fasting because it is safer and maximizes autophagy. Does that mean that autophagy is at its maximum between 3 and 5 days and doesn’t go any further?

That is precisely how i understood it in one of his articles.
Basically the most amount and true healing happens from the first acidotic crisis.
For most people, this happens during/after day 3.
The idea is that you can count the "true healing" days and add them together by splitting up a extended DF into smaller DFs.
To make this work, you need to count every day that goes beyond day 3.
By this logic, instead of doing a 8 day DF, you can do two, 5 days instead (with enough recovery between them).

Good explanation, Bund- helpful!

Marius, I think you are saying that fairly. I'm not sure this totally answers the question of the higher stem cell full overhaul PP discusses i a 7d DF, but I think (may be wrong) Y is speaking to the audience of chronically ill folks knd of - that we will not be able to safely do a 7d without a lot of risk of jacking things up or activating viruses or whatever, so the safer thing to do would be to layer the gains on those shorter long DFs. If I infer correctly, he is not thinking much about the stem cell magicalness PP talks about, bc he is of the mind that we can't access and completely those conversions (I'm saying this wrong, I'm sure) since we are so depleted. Again, I'm filling in gaps here with my own interpretation. If I'm wrong, I'd love to be corrected :)!
