Re: Combine Ray Peat diet with IF ?

In my experience with that, your stress and caffeine tolerance in the fasting part of the day is lowered significantly, if you are running on carbs.
Fully ketogenic or carnivore is a wholly different story and (feels) much easier.

FWIW, the Renegade Diet is very aligned with what you described ...

Re: Oversaturation of tastes after dry fasting

I remember my grandpa telling me how he after a routine surgery with anesthesia, woke up with extremely amplified sweet tastes for several days after.
Like sugar turned into sucralose type of sickeningly toxic sweet.
Doctors insisted it was something that could happen after the anesthesia. No idea ...

Re: Should I continue my transdermal T3 during a 5 day dryfast?

First of all, I have very bad reviews of idealabs tyronene product, usually degraded to a certain % and if not, then it degrades quickly. Are yo u sure it is still providing an effect transdermally? How do you track hypothyroidism?

I mean don't get me wrong, I would much prefer the slow ...

Tyronene is not the best, I agree, but to me it can work. It ...

Wow, this really puts things into perspective. Glad I asked you guys first. That paralysis video is scary AF.
Guess I will slow my roll, prepare better and tackle the 5 day some time in the new year.
First get stable, lower stress, then taper out T3, then dryfast. Patience is hard, but I can't be ...

Re: Horrific reactions to water and food during refeed after 7WF -> 7DF (WARNING to everyone to take Dry Fasting serious

I have got to ask what you were doing christmas day and the 25th?
Did anything stress you out? Or even stimulate you highly?
Was there any christmas food, alcohol, travel, turbulent family life, mood swings?

If the theory of B1 depletion -> Vagus nerve dysregulation -> "Water allergy" etc is true ...

All right fair enough. I honestly can't estimate if a waterfast would help you now or not, I just mentioned it because you seem like the kind of person who invented wing suit base jumping. Risk taking high achieving frontier breaking type person.

One thing that came to mind when reading your latest ...

Thinking about doing a short water fast to get my nervous system back to baseline. Lets see how this goes

Please consult Yannick before committing to another fast.
I know it can be tempting when things are confusing and going haywire, but if you fast to reset your nervous system, and your nervous ...

Should I continue my transdermal T3 during a 5 day dryfast?

I have been on LioThyronine (T3) for a few months, the transdermal kind you can get from IdeaLabsDC's lab section.

Am gearing up for my first serious 5 day dry fast, and wonder if I should stop taking it temporarily or continue with it?

On one hand, I could spiral into hypothyroidism if I stop ...

You are very welcome my friend, and I am glad you say that.
I was wondering if your situation was best handled by an emergency medicine room, but then I remembered modern medicine often fails us, that's why we are here.
I think someone as tenacious and focused as yourself would have found a way out ...
